SEAN IN HIS OWN WORDS:

As a kid I always had an affinity for stretching the creative muscles, be it molding a piece of Play-Doh or sketching on construction paper:

I love to create!

As I got older, I would often look at content I see and say to myself, “There’s a lot more potential in this!” And then I would regale those around me with how I could help bolster what was currently there, make it better, be it a name change, a small tweak here or there, or a full on overhaul!

And that’s not even getting in to my learning curve! More often than not, once I see a demonstration of how something is done once or twice, I’m off like a rocket; doing whatever it was that was shown to me to complete a task! Ranging from Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, WordPress, Drupal!

Be it in a team or flying solo, I can steer you in the right direction and unlock that hidden potential in what you have!

Curious on what I can do? Check out my work!

Past Professional Experience

WEB CONTENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST - BOWLING PROPRIETOR'S ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA

April 2019 - September 2019

My first role in the DFW area has me working at the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America.

My role consists of transferring content provided by bowling centers to newly designed templates. I've also been testing some of the 500+ websites linked to bowling centers across the country to ensure that their links aren't broken, their content is up to date and is compliant with ADA standards.

There have also been times where I would speak with the owners of bowling centers and walk them through issues they are having on their websites.

WEB CONTENT SPECIALIST (PART TIME) - RHODE ISLAND QUALITY INSTITUTE

February 2019 - September 2019

Due to budgetary constraints, the Rhode Island Quality Institute could not keep me on full time anymore.

At the same time however, there were multiple projects and issues that needed someone of my skills to help complete.

RIQI came to me and asked if they could utilize the services I did for them for a limited time period and limited hours.

WEB DEVELOPER (REMOTE) - RHODE ISLAND QUALITY INSTITUTE

October 2017 - November 2018

After working for two years as an associate web developer part-time, and off the heels of the completion of my bachelor's degree, I was hired full time at the Rhode Island Quality Institute.

I continued to do more of the same that I was doing while part time, but on top of those responsibilities, I was also helping to spearhead a social media campaign for RIQI which saw increased engagement beginning in the Summer of 2018. I was also aiding in the launching of a redesigned RIQI website which saw me utilizing the CMS, Drupal as well as some Linux commands, moving content from server-to-server.

It was also during this period that I shifted from an on-site employee to a remote-employee working from my new home in Dallas.

ASSOCIATE WEB DEVELOPER (PART TIME) - RHODE ISLAND QUALITY INSTITUTE

July 2015 - September 2017

While completing my Bachelor's program, I was hired as an Associate Web Developer at the Rhode Island Quality Institute.

The majority of my time here was spent maintaining content on RIQI's websites via the CMS, DNN. There was additionally some work done on an older version of Drupal which included setting up forms that were to communicate with Salesforce, and employed some early versions of Angular.JS to display the math shown in the forms itself and ensuring that specific thresholds are met in the numeric fields.

When Website work was scarce, I would aid the Design team with creating collateral such as flyers and instructional booklets to be passed along to patients and care providers throughout Rhode Island. This was done by utilizing the programs found in the Adobe Creative Cloud such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign with some minor video changes done in After Effects and Premiere.

ASSISTANT TO DIRECTOR OF ECOMMERCE (CONTRACT) - GREYSMITH COMPANIES

February 2015 - May 2015

This was a contract role from The Greysmith Companies, where I was assigned to assist the director of eCommerce at Cross Pens, otherwise known as A.T. Cross.

Most of my time there was spent double and triple-checking inventory on the multiple region versions of the Cross Pens website, ensuring that products exclusive to one region or the other remained so, product images matched the product name and description and products that were listed as discontinued were no longer available on the site.

At one point I was asked to convert static imagery on the website in to an HTML insert which I was able to do with Adobe's Scene7 program as well as a freeware version of Adobe Dreamweaver.

WEB PRODUCER - EMBOLDEN

June 2009 - September 2014

After working at Embolden for two and a half years as an intern and then as a freelance Web Producer, I was brought on to the team full time.

My days consisted of a lot of the same tasks I was given while freelancing, adding content to multiple websites, reviewing the content in the QA process over multiple browsers and devices, creating sitemaps in Excel and Content Collection documents in Word as well as touching up, resizing and exporting images for web.

One thing that was added during this time was the bi-annual site reviews wherein I would review the site flow and functionality of websites we would pass along to clients to maintain content on their own. This was similar to the QA process while acting as a means to show how clients can better take care of the content on their sites.

FREELANCE WEB PRODUCER - EMBOLDEN

June 2007 - May 2009

After interning at Embolden for the remainder of my Associate's Degree at New England Tech, I opted to stay on the team as a freelance Web Producer.

I would continue to aid in the posting and reviewing of content for their clients.
